Where in Nyc Is Morgenstern's Finest Ice Cream
-
There's something amazing about the ice cream here. Each flavor actually tastes like the stuff it's made out of. The peanut butter and caramel I had was filled with peanuts and sweet deliciousness.
-
Try the eggless, low-sugar, low-butterfat, yet still supremely creamy ice cream in creative riffs on classic flavors like burnt honey vanilla, Szechuan peppercorn chocolate, and Vietnamese coffee. Read more
-
"Vietnamese coffee and burnt vanilla are really excellent. Take one of those "basic" flavors with their more creative ones like green tea pistachio (amazing). S+P pine nut is good but very peppery
-
The most delicious ice-cream in New York in my opinion. The flavors are incredible and the ice cream is so smooth. Try green tea pistachio and burnt honey. Be prepared to line up; service is v slow.
-
Worth the wait! Extremely creamy burnt vanilla ice cream along with the the whipped crème topping, will come here five days a week if I live in NY
-
As they are among the best ice cream shops in NYC you won't leave disappointed. Anything with vanilla, and especially the bourbon vanilla, is just awesome! Read more
-
I got the burnt honey vanilla cone and it was stellar. One of the best ice cream places in the city, but there's usually a 15-20 min line.
-
Salt + pepper pinenut with their "bitter" (caramel) chocolate was fantastic. The ice creams are the perfect mix of creative and well executed. Pro tip: empty 6-8pm on weekdays.
-
Morgenstern's got bonkers creations (Fernet black walnut, American egg, or banana curry) and total dedication to the craft of ice cream making in a throwback ice cream parlor setting. Read more
-
Great artisanal ice creams -- multiple chocolate and vanilla varieties. New God Flow (honey bruleéd on Japanese bread topped with raw milk ice cream is pretty cool (see pic) Limited seating.
-
Oh my G. Burnt honey vanilla, pistachio, and Vietnamese coffee... I can die happy, but not before I try everything else on the menu and also buy a cool ass beach towel. Absolutely amazing.
-
This brightly-lit ice cream parlor offers a variety of ice cream, sorbet, and sundae creations. Get the Green Tea Pistachio; it's creamy, not too sweet, and perfect for a summer evening.
-
Best ice cream I have ever had in my entire life. And I eat a lot of ice cream. Brilliant service, too. They take their time to make sure you will LOVE what you get, hence the line. And well worth it.
-
I have never, in my life, experienced a place where so much care and attention is given to single servings of ice cream. Expect a long (but worthwhile) line. Get the Vietnamese coffee!
-
Really scrumptious ice cream, but $1.50 for sprinkles is a bit ridiculous. I got the strawberry durian banana flavor and it was amazing. The durian wasn't too overpowering. All 3 flavors mixed well.
-
The green tea pistachio (it comes with real pistachio nuts) and their famous coconut ash have become my f(l)avorites. The tastes are pretty well-balanced, creamy but not too sweet.
-
Great shop for delicious ice cream from normal flavors like vanilla to unique must try's like burnt sage!
-
After Freeman's pop by this iconic ice cream shop. There's usually a line, so bribe your way to the front in true New York fashion. For something unique, try the activated charcoal ice cream.
-
Morgenstern's Finest is a local NYC business, churning fresh artisanal ice creams using the highest quality ingredients. Plain legit! I recommend checking this spot out during off-hours to avoid lines
-
Opening at the end of May this is restaurateur Nick Morgenstern's third business venture following on from his El Rey coffee bar on Stanton street and his Goat Town restaurant in the East Village.
-
If you don't think this is the best ice cream in NYC then I don't trust you. Burnt honey vanilla. Chocolate oat. Do it
-
If you're in soho, drop by for their ice cream. It's very creamy and $4 gets you a huge scoop. I got the vanilla honey one and it was heavenly. Madagascar and chocolate are also great.
-
Unique flavors. Coconut ash was good but it dyes lips/anything else it touches! Sugar cone is delicious. Other flavors we tried were also great: burnt honey vanilla, raw milk, pistachio green tea
-
Careful if you have serious allergies. The "toppings" or "mix-ins" are put directly in to the tubs of ice cream and then scooped out. Coffee crunch was so good.
-
Hip spot. Long lines out the door but the wait isn't bad. Great ice cream texture. Got a waffle cone with coffee crisp ice cream. Worth a try for the unusual flavors
-
Pistachio pesto strawberry seemed to be the flavour of choice for everyone in line to be dubious about. Just relax, they nailed it. The pistachio scent complements & elevates the smooth strawberry.
-
Great unique flavors! Friendly and attentive staff. I came here on a cold winter night & had the pleasure of the place to myself, until Karlie Kloss & her boyfriend walked in 😉
-
Solid ice cream joint with some unique flavors like burnt vanilla. The Vietnamese coffee hot chocolate is a perfect treat on a chilly night.
-
Go off-peak or be prepared to wait for some of the creamiest ice cream in unique flavors like green tea pistachio and vietnamese coffee. The salted caramel pretzel is salty sweet perfection.
-
Chocolate PB Picosos is the perfect Chocolate & Peanut Butter combination. -- that being said, this is the New God Flow. Infrequently available, but DAMN good.
-
If you have the patience to wait in what's likely a long, slow moving line, you'll be rewarded with deliciously unique and creative flavors, including a perfectly rich Salted Chocolate 🍦
-
Durian Banana, Strawberry Pistachio Pesto, and Coconut Ash. The monster cone with three scoops was the most intense ice cream experience of my life.
-
You will wait in line for a little too long, bs the ice cream is soooo worth the waiting!
-
Chocolate Szechuan Peppercorn has just a bit of pepper flavor in the finish.
-
You can't go wrong with any of the flavors here. Definitely worth a bike ride just for the ice cream! Closest Citi Bike station is Rivington St & Chrystie St, a block east.
-
Although mainly an ice cream shop, churning ;) out mostly great offerings, this Lower East Side shop also offers inconsistently prepared Counter Culture coffee - get it in an affogato. (3/14)
-
Although it's new, this place has the authenticity of a spot that's been here forever. An instant NY classic. It's the perfect spot to bring your kids, or to bring a first date.
-
Raspberry aperol sorbet & Vietnamese coffee ice cream were delicious! Great flavors, shitty service.
-
Although mainly an ice cream shop, churning ;) out mostly great offerings, this Lower East Side shop also offers inconsistently prepared Counter Culture coffee, probably best used in an affogato.
-
I go here at least once a week because it's just that good. Get the Vietnamese coffee ice cream. This ain't mister softee.
-
Creamiest ice cream ever. Classic with a modern take. They scoop around the toppings so they're in the middle. Simple but effective. I got burnt honey vanilla and green tea pistachio.
-
OK, the customizable treats here are pricier than the Carvel cakes of your childhood, but boy, are they gorgeous (and delicious, obviously). Read more
-
if you are a person who would never order licorice ice cream, the black ass licorice will change your mind. (if you are such a person, it's probably not licorice-y enough.)
-
Some of the best ice cream I've ever head. Unsalted caramel and sp pine nut are my favorite. Cash only!
-
Yep everyone was right about the salted pretzel caramel being too salty. Also got the burnt honey vanilla. Flavor was great but it left a slimy film in my mouth after each bite...
-
Expect a long, slow line. There are so many great ice cream places in the city, so to me the wait isn't worth it. If there's no wait, give it a go. Unique flavors. Caramel sated pretzel is salty.
-
My tip won't be about the ice cream (is great trust me) is about space, like any other place in NYC there is none! Please consider just coming to buy and walk out to eat.
-
I tried these 4 and like them in this order:1. Coconut espresso 2.black coconut ash 3. Burnt honey 4.green tea pistachio
-
Love the Vietnamese Coffee and Green Tea with Pistachio. Going back forever to try all the flavors! Favorite ice cream spot in NYC hands down. 🍦💕
-
Burnt vanilla ice cream! And green tea was delicious. We weren't sure how to mix them so we asked, very knowledgable/helpful staff :)
